Summary
The Human lib feature film documentary uses 60% of footage from the feature film In and Out of Planet Earth. In In and Out of Planet Earth,
the tagline is: "a psychedelic trip underwater" but in Human Lib, it deals and presents all the illegal -and some legal drugs- widely used in Britain, the sexual issues and all its complications. It is a reflection of British society in the 21st century. It seems that the only ones saved are the ones with deep religious beliefs, although in the end, the trap is still there.
The documentary was presented to the Department of Health for use as an anti-drug promotion, but it failed, as the content
was deemed too "explicit". Being a matter of life and death, it beggars belief that it would be construed as "explicit".
Where do illegal drugs come from? Legal in some countries, it is also a government tool. There is no opposition to any rules
on drugs.

TRIVIA
1. Human Lib is set entirely under water with an animated text intro on the subject of drugs and sexual depravation.
2. In and Out of Planet Earthis set in the Prologue and Epilogue by the river in Canary Wharf, London and it clearly outlines a different story
.3. "At the opening of the story two stories run in parallel: a girl is talking to her friend on her phone standing nearby the main character Paul himself having a conversation with his alter ego. He is interrupted by the girl who doesn't understand why he is talking to himself. She is upset that he is disturbing her flow and ask him to move away. In his conversation, Paul is arguing with his alter ego until he finally kills him. He then decides to end his life and jumps into the river. There within sixty minutes he will re-live his entire life. Thoughts and images come hurtling back; his alter ego, his previous girlfriend, all the sex, the violence and loss of identity among the life of others: the marine life deep inside the water" Outline for In and Out of Planet Earth.
4. Human Lib: "The life and consequences of being "In deep space" or "underwater": life on drugs, smoking and alcohol ravaging the UK population"
5. Back in 2002 as the BBFC who rates films in the UK and the MPAA in the U.S. were too busy arguing about the rating thus forcing an 18 -R certificate on In and Out of Planet Earth, the producers who couldn't wait any more to find a theatrical release, placed the film on Fuckbook the ancestor of Facebook to the dismay of its creator Nick Peterson and the film received over 4 M downloads in the space of two months.
6. In 2006 and 2007, In and Out of Planet Earth has been divided in 27 clips and excluding two X-rated scenes have been offered as a bundle on the Nokia, T-Mobile and Sony Network. The DVD PAL and NTSC (U.S.) has been released in 2007.
7. In and Out of Planet Earth like most of Nick Peterson's work can be watched in pieces, backwards and in reverse and it still makes sense.
8. Many wondered if the entire film (both films) has been filmed inside an aquarium. This impression has been given from the image overlaid over the whole film including the scenes not underwater but by the river: the overlay signifies that the whole film is a dream sequence.
9. The entire audio of the In and Out of Planet Earth film has been divided into 15 tracks and packaged as double audio book available on CD and download.
10. Narrator: [the Fish inside the sea] "Deep space, down below the final frontier. You can't measure it, you can't time it. Everything beats faster than the fastest beat on the surface of the ocean. The reproduction level is fifty times higher than the one on the surface. When someone's hungry, one eats as much as fifty humans during an entire day. One second on the surface equals sixty down under. One eats faster, one dies faster. This is the greatest landscape on earth".
11. Narrator: "When it's cold, it's ten times colder. When it's hot it's ten times hotter. When it's dangerous, danger is omnipresent. There are billions of stories swarming at the bottom of the earth. There are the untold lives of millions of creatures shaping the ocean. It's a parallel universe guided by the continuous flow of water. One needs a map to guide oneself thru it all, a map of the Universe. Thoughts are everywhere. There is a superhighway of thinking. Thoughts come and go. 'I need. I want. I kill. I eat. I fuck. I die".
12. Narrator: " Some creatures form the exception; they lie unabated for millions of years then move from planet to planet in search of a meaning. These creatures are themselves the stars rotating in a galactic stratosphere in the deep end of the cosmic ocean".
13. The main poster for the film doesn't have the main title over it. It needed to be added as no distributors / websites would have accepted it otherwise, even if according to its creators the visual reflects its content and is a title in itself.
14. For Human LibThe author and producers needed to undergo a thorough research process to experiment and deal with the following drugs readily available in the country at an alarming rate: Cannabis or Marijuana, excessive sex and and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), Cocaine or Neurocaine, Crystal meths or Methamphetamine, tobacco and passive smoking, E for Ecstasy or MDMA, Legal High, Alcohol, Heroin and prescription drugs.
15. " We simply can't deny anyone the right to exist. The right to everything exists and it has a price but it can also deny others the right to exist".
16. Paul X1: " It looks like you've reached the end..."
Paul X2: "...and it looks like I'm going to have to expand the end to infinity!"
17. Human Lib: Narrator: "MDMA known as ecstasy or E, is a psychoactive drug primarily used as a recreational drug. The desired effects include altered sensations and increased energy, empathy, and pleasure. When taken by mouth, effects begin after 30-45 minutes and last 3-6 hours. Narrator: Adverse effects include addiction, memory problems, paranoia, difficulty sleeping, teeth grinding, blurred vision, sweating, and a rapid heartbeat. Deaths have been reported due to increased body temperature and dehydration. Following use people often feel depressed and tired".
18.Human Lib: " Narrator: The psychological effects of the drug can include euphoria, dysphoria, changes in libido, alertness, apprehension and concentration, decreased sense of fatigue, insomnia or wakefulness, self-confidence, sociability, irritability, restlessness, grandiosity and repetitive and obsessive behaviours. Anxiety, depression, amphetamine psychosis, suicide, and violent behaviours".
Narrator: "It was one of Adolf Hitler's favourite drugs first introduced by his doctor and routinely fed his armies with it. An army on drugs can be more lethal than an atomic bomb"
19. Human Lib: Narrator: "The list of drugs widely available in Britain and the sexual dependency of its inhabitants is making us wonder about the sanity left in the social fabrics of society".
20. Human Lib: Narrator: We have only #one life. If this life is bearable, grab it in full. If not, you have a choice: the hell you may endure to escape your reality will only lead to your death. You may then be reincarnated into a new being, but this life may be hell again. Problems exist. Problems are the others. Ignore them. Tell them it's their fault but ignore them after that. They will never understand anyway.
